In 1994, Editorial Photo Departments around the world took notice when he converted the first newspapers to an all digital photographic workflow leaving film behind forever. Since then Nick has been a leading digital imaging consultant and lecturer and a Vancouver based commercial and editorial photographer.

Most recently Nick, along with his team of 38 staff and 228 volunteers organized all the press photography for the Vancouver Winter Olympics and the 700 news and sports photographers that attended the event. At these Olympics (his 5th) Nick developed a private WiFi network to give photographers the ability to directly file from their digital cameras to the world, and also co-developed a "Sled" that gave the alpine skiing photographers the ability to send pictures from the side of the downhill course before the Olympic skier crossed the finish line, two Olympic firsts.

Nick is passionate about all aspects of photography, videography, technology and looks for new challenges in these fields. When he is not shooting or lecturing he can be found rafting down a fish filled river fly rod in hand.
