Biography
Danny Catt is a biologist, world traveler and internationally published photographer with over 25 years of experience in the field of environmental education. Danny spent parts of 13 years working for Parks Canada, Canada’s national park service, as a naturalist and park planner prior to shifting to teaching at the post-secondary level.
He has studied in Africa, taught in Asia and has explored over 50 countries around the globe. His travel and nature photos have appeared in publications including calendars, books, newspapers and magazines including Chinese Geographic and TIME.
Danny is presently on the faculty of the BC Institute of Technology, teaching Ecology and Park & Outdoor Recreation Management in the Institute’s highly regarded Fish, Wildlife & Recreation program.
When not teaching Danny works as a biologist and photographer on expedition ships in the Arctic, sailboats on the Pacific coast and he also lectures on cruise ships on natural history and photography topics all over the globe.
